LWW (BBC) Rated by Rebekah Walton

Yes, I am rating the BBC version right now. I rated with an A. If you want one that is correct to the book you have to the right place except in a few minor areas. These are the things that downgrade the movie from an A+ to an A. Lucy was way to plump for my liking and Susan had blond hair in this one. In the books, Lucy has blond hair but (excluding the horribly made and not worth mentioning at all the animated 1979 version) none of the movies can seem to give Lucy blond hair. THe best6 they can seem to do in this one is give blond hair to Susan. (Eventhough, in the books Susan clearly had dark hair.) I did not mind Peter (Richard Dempsey)he was in all respects Peter from Narnia. In both movies they picked great actors for all of the Pevensies. Overall, this movie did a great job of adapting Narnia into a movie. I still dio enjoy watching it eventhough it's animated creatures and talking animals leaves most people with something to be desired. In otherwords, this is a great movie and if you can ignore the people in animal costumes and watch the animation then this is an excellent version for you. I personally love it!

Narnia, in general by Rebekah Walton

I have written a lot about Narnia, mostly ranting about the movies, plus, my thoughts and ideas. But since the movies have stopped for now it is really hard to rant about things that are not occurring. Or to imagine stuff that could be going on and rant about it. So, instead I think I will start with Silver Chair and work my way backwards to tell you what scenes must have the movie (If they make one.)and what things can not happen in the movies. (If they make them.) Oh, and I will start doing a regular post every Thursday I can. I am trying to change this to a mostly Narnia site so, I will not write about anything but Narnia and rating movies for months maybe this whole rest of the year.

Despicable Me Rated by Rebekah Walton

I rated it with a C+. It was indeed funny, but it lacked real depth even what job he was going to do now that he was not a villian. How the minions were going toi keep on being employed I have no clue. It bewildered me. Plus, as many people have brought up in the past, what are minions? How did he finds a lot of them and does he have the only ones in the World? All these things that made me wonder and the fact that they used Steve Carell's voice in this movie downgraded it to a C+. Although, you will notice that this is a better rating than Voyage of the Dawn Treader by Walden and Fox. But almost no movie except for Harry Potter could be worse than that. In other words, this movie was okay, but not good enough to even buy. Please do not spend a lot of money renting this either.

Courageous Rated by Rebekah Walton

I gave it an A++. Usually, I don't go to theaters and watch movies. This has happened only a couple of times before. With Narnia(two of the 3)Veggietales Pirates movie, Pirates of the Caribbean 2, and now Courageous. This movie had the humor I was looking for( nore humor than the other movies they had made). This was the fourth movie made by Sherwood. Some of other popular ones were: Facing the Giants and Fireproof. Most people have at least watched one of those movies. So, I was expecting this movie to be awesome like their last one. It definitely was! There was of course one brave message that shown through: ''Fathers should live in the way they want their children live in. If they want their son to act like a man they should show him how it is done. They should be there for their children.'' We have a lot of dads even in tv shows that don't act like real fathers. This movie even has a surprise ending. You most definitely will not be able to tell me when the movie about to end. I was very surprised when the movie ended. This movie was more enjoyable than the last ones. I haven't yet rated two of their movies: Facing the Giants and their first movie Flywheel. This movie is even rated PG-13 for violence. I mean that right there should get you coming to theaters or buying or renting this movie to watch this. What movie other then the Passion do you know that is Christian related to get a rating higher than PG? This movie really does have something to offer. Please see this movie!

Tangled Rated by Rebekah Walton

Before I give the grade I gave the movie I want to mention that I read about this movie on wikipedia before I watched it. I rated this movie with an A. This was probably one of my least favorite fairytale. But they they did it pretty well. I liked the fact that she loved her ''mother''(the witch) . And her ''mother'' was so nice to her or acted like she was nice to till the really end. Of course, she did have times where she got mad at Rapunzel like in the ''Rapunzel knows best'' but she did act like just an overprotective mother. I loved Eugene Fitzherbert/Flynn Rider. He was definitely funny and in the end you could really tell he loved her. Of course it was a musical so that was awesome and my favorite song was,''When Will My Life Begin?'' It definitely showed something I had never thought of. Which was what Rapunzel could possibly be doing for years in a tower. But if you watch this movie search for the surprise ending about Rapunzel's hair. This was kind of why I gave it only an A. But definitely an awesome movie to watch.

Inception Rated by Rebekah Walton

I rated it with A. This story was very interesting. I guess what everyone probably wishes me to talk about is the spining top ending. My theory I have not heard from many people so, I will tell you my theory. Cobb was having problems with his wife Mal showing up in his dreams right? Also, because of this he got very anxious when he woke up from his dreams where Mal showed up(when Ariadne got killed by Mrs. Cobb in her first shared dream, The dream where Cobb was trying out the sedative drug) and went immediately to spin the top. But after he woke from the three dreams at the end he was pretty calm. I believe that was because he left his guilt of Mal behind. I think that he got another grasp on reality and therefore knew he was in the real world but only spun the top as a force of habit. So, in the end yes, I believe he was in the real world. But now enough about my theory and on to why I gave it the rating I did. I really enjoyed the story and most of made sense. I mostly rated it down for the number of things that didn't make any sense. For example: Mal's top that Cobb used for his totem.

The 5th VODT trailer Reviewed by Rebekah Walton

There was a fourth trailer but there was only like two new shots and no really new info. I might write a review on that one later though.
20th Century Fox Logo
Walden Media Logo

Hmm...At least they are keeping with the same logo.
Caspian, Edmund, Lucy, Eustace and Reepcheep arrive on the shore at the end of Narnia. A huge wave of water stands in front of them and they walk towards it. Aslan’s shadow is seen on the beach. Lucy realizes that Aslan has joined them and is walking besides them. She turns…
This is a really cool looking scene. I am disapointed that the shadow of Aslan wasn't a lamb shadow that turned into a Lion shadow like we suggested on Narniaweb.
Lucy: Aslan.
Aslan: You have returned for a reason. You have come far. Now your journey lies beyond.

Still odd lines. They make it sound like they appear here first. Which we know they don't.
Aslan roars and a hole forms in the wall of water.
I like the cool look here. But I was it was a hole in the sky not in the waves.
Shot of the Dawn Treader sailing on the water. Shot of Drinian and the crew at the helm of the Dawn Treader. Edmund and Lucy stand on the deck soaking wet wearing blankets.
Caspian: Behold our castaways, King and Queen of Narnia.Good to hear that as of yet we haven't heard the High King and Queen part. I am still hoping to never hear it.
The crew bows.

Lucy: Reepicheep!
Reepicheep: Your majesties!
Nothing new here, this was in the first trailer.
Dragon Eustace opens an eye and a reflection of Aslan is seen in it. Dragon Eustace appears to be injured as he tries to rise from a sandy shore. Aslan stands not far away.
Hopefully this is the undragoning. These are cool shots. I love this.
Shot of Cambridge. Shot of the Dawn Treader entering a bay. Shot of Dragon Eustace diving towards the water and then flying alongside the ship.Cool looking shots.
Eustace on the deck of the Dawn Treader, very unhappy.

Eustace: Where in the blazes am I?
Tavros the Minotaur: You’re on the Dawn Treader.

Eustace faints and the crew laughs.

Tavros: Was it something I said?
The joke once again. I don't like it and it's kinda cheesy.
THIS CHRISTMAS Well, why won't this Christmas hurry up, so I can watch Dawn Treader. (Yes, I know it comes out on December 10th.)
Edmund, Caspian, and Drinian stand looking out from the side of the ship. Edmund looks through a telescope. This is a cool shot. I just want to be looking at an island or something.
Coriakin: There is the source of your trouble.

Shot of the White Witch in green mist.

ENEMIES WILL UNITE
Okay, this is creepy. They are going to have the WW unite with the green mist? Or is this one of those misleading things? I hope dearly that it is.
Coriakin: It seeks to corrupt all goodness.

Green mist surrounds the Dawn Treader and the form of the White Witch swirls past Edmund.

Coriakin: It can steal the light from this world.

The Dawn Treader sails towards the Island of Green Mist. The Dawn Treader sails through a storm.

AND THE ONLY POWER TO STOP THEM
Let's be all dramatic! Woooo! I hope it doesn't seem this way in the movie.
Edmund holds a sword that suddenly glows blue. Coriakin points at Edmund.

Coriakin: That sword you carry. It must be laid at Aslan’s Table.

Shot of a cart being pulled through the streets of Narrowhaven. Shot of the three Lords at Aslan’s table waking up with all of the seven swords laid in front of them.

Coriakin: Only then can their true power be unleashed.

Coriakin throws a map across a room. Islands are seen growing out of it.

LIES BEYOND NARNIA ITSELF
Unfathomable fate! But hey, we get to see the Lords waking up. So, it looks like we are about to see them go to RD's island twice.
Reepicheep: Aslan’s Country

Shot of Aslan standing on the shore. Shot of a rowboat rowing through a sea of white lilies.

Lucy: Do you really believe there’s such a place?
Reepicheep: We have nothing if not belief.
Like Lucy would think there wasn't a country. What she should really say is, ''But are you sure Aslan's Country is the type you can sail to?'' If they were trying to do that essence of that line here they failed.

FROM C.S. LEWIS’ EPIC MASTERPIECEWe can only hope.
Shot of Ramandu's Daughter walking through an island. She stands before Caspian, Edmund, and Lucy, and turns into a star and flies up into the sky.I like the cool back picture of RD, now we can see the back of her dress.
COMES THE MOTION PICTURE EVENT

Water nymphs leap out of the water in front of the sailing Dawn Treader and dive back in.
I wish they were sea people. Maybe, the reason they can't have sea people is because they are cutting back on the money for the film.
OF THE HOLIDAY SEASON

Lucy stands in Coriakin’s library with snow falling all around her. She smiles.
Different angle then most times we see this scene.
Caspian, Edmund, Lucy, and Reepicheep stand at the edge of the ship looking down into the water. With a cry of excitement Reepicheep leaps into the water and lands next to Eustace. This must be after his undragoning. I like how Reepicheep is really excited.
Ramandu's Daughter walks along smiling.

Ramandu's Daughter: Travelers of Narnia. I am your guide.
Caspian: You are most beautiful.
Ramandu's Daughter: If it is a distraction for you, I can change forms.
Caspian and Edmund: No!
If I can remeber correctly there is a shot we haven't seen before in between them saying these lines of Edmund looking around at the table on Ramandu's Island.
Caspian and Edmund look at each other. Lucy looks at them both and rolls her eyes.Nothing we haven't seen in the last trailer.
Lucy enters into the Magician’s House through invisible doors that close behind her. Coriakin appears in front of his table and turns around. This is a closer view of Lucy going in to the doors scene. I frankly love this cool shot. I wish though they had never shown anyone Corikian become visible. Edmund, Susan, and Peter walk arm in arm through a lovely outdoor party. All smiling. What is this during Lucy's temptation? Or is this Edmund's imagination? What is this? This looks like a scene from a red carpet event.
The Dawn Treader sailing through a gorgeous sunset.

Caspian looking stern.

Caspian: Now is the time to be strong. Never give in.

The sailors in the background cheer.
Why can't they give Caspian the right speech?
Coriakin stands in his garden with the crew of the Dawn Treader behind him. He throws something. Dufflepuds leap about.I love the Dufflepuds. What he throws must be the lint we heard about.
Caspian, Drinian, and Edmund are walking through the streets of Narrowhaven with the people on the sides cheering. Rhince steps out from the crowd to speak to them.Hmm...I hope this after they are slaves.
Dragon Eustace flies very low to the water with the Dawn Treader behind him.

Someone (perhaps Caspian or Reepicheep?): No fear! No retreat!
Reepicheep swings around on a rope aboard the Dawn Treader. Dragon Eustace flies along carrying Reepicheep on his back. Reepicheep fights someone on the streets of Narrowhaven. Caspian fights a slaver in the Bell Tower. More fighting on the streets of Narrowhaven. Not really anything new here but I still love the cool shots.

Shot of the Dawn Treader sailing through a storm. Shot of blue light shooting up from the seven swords and making a beam into the sky. Caspian and the crew shouting during a pitched battle with the sea serpent. Edmund holds the glowing blue sword out towards the serpent. The serpent dives towards him. Aslan roars on the beach.

Things you should never say as the director of a film based on a book by Rebekah Walton

Gpuddle's siggy after Apted said,''This movie is based on the book and a book the author never wrote.''

1. This movie is nothing like the book.
2. This movie is based on the book and a book the author never wrote. (In other words, we made up a whole bunch of stuff and put it in the movie.
3. I don't believe a movie should be exactly like the book. I think there should be scenes that aren't in the book in the movie.
4. This movie is like an alternate univerise of the book. (In other words, we took the characters and made a completely different story with them.)

Third Trailer of Dawn Treader Rated by Rebekah Walton

Lucy and Edmund walk into the Scrubb’s house. Harold is reading the paper.
Lucy: We’re home!
Well, we hear about this from the previous 9 cilps. I am not surprised. But this was also in the leaked script. Don't they get that the leaked script was really bad, not that this part is but we hear that more and more parts are following that early script.
Lucy and Edmund are in Lucy’s bedroom. Lucy’s looking into a mirror.
Edmund: Lucy, have you seen this ship before?
Lucy: It’s very Narnian isn’t it?
Eustace walks into the room.
Eustace: What’s going on here?
Lucy: Edmund the painting!
Eustace runs to tear the painting from the wall.
Edmund: No Eustace no!

I have no real complaint for this part, it is very close to the lines in the book.
The bedroom fills with water and all three swim to the surface. As Lucy arrives at the top, she sees the Dawn Treader approaching.
Lucy: Edmund!
We heard about this really early in the filming stage. It is a cool effect if I must say so.Although sometimes I wish it was like the book. But it works well for film.
Caspian and Lucy are pulled from the water.
Everyone now aboard the deck, Caspian addresses his crew.
Caspian: Behold our castaways, King and Queen of Narnia.
That's good at least he doesn't call them High King and High Queen of Narnia like we heard in the clips from NY.
The crew kneels before them. Okay, we heard about this too.Lucy: Reepicheep!
Reepicheep: Your majesties!
We have seen this part so much it is hard to remeber a time when we hadn't seen this part.
Eustace throwing a temper tantrum screams at the crew as they stand around smirking.
Eustace: Where in the blazes am I?
Tavros the Minotaur: You’re on the Dawn Treader.
Eustace takes one look at the minotaur and faints. The crew laughs.
Tavros to Rynelf: Was it something I said?
This joke is often a huge controversy between fans. Some people hate it, some people don't mind, and some people love it. I just mostly think if a joke is only funny the first time, and not the next twelve times you watch it it doesn't belong in Narnia.
FROM C.S. LEWIS’S EPIC MASTERPIECEand some other things we randomly added to make it more compelling.Ugh! That is what I feel like they are saying.
Caspian, Lucy, Edmund, Eustace, and Reepicheep sail through the sea of lilies where they arrive on the shore before the edge of the world. A giant wave is in the background as they greet Aslan.
Lucy: Aslan.
Aslan: You have come far. Your adventure begins now.
The Ending.A little weird we heard from recent reports. They are actually given the option whether they want to die or die later.
A water nymph leaps out of the water in front of the ship.

Caspian, Edmund, and Lucy look up into the sky as a brilliant blue light descends upon them.
Lucy: Look!
The light transforms into Lilliandril.
Lilliandril: Travelers of Narnia, I am your guide.
Caspian: You are most beautiful.
Lilliandril: If it is a distraction for you, I-I can change forms.
Caspian and Edmund: No!
Caspian and Edmund look at each other. Lucy looks at them and rolls her eyes.
At least the supposed seagirl seems to be a water nymph now. Read my review on about the love triangle scene:http://rebekahspryopage.blogspot.com/2010/09/all-nine-narnia-clips-shown-in-new-york.html

Coriakin throws a map across the room in his library.
Coriakin: There is the source of your trouble.
The white witch appears as a phantom in green smoke.
Edmund: You mean a witch?
Coriakin walks around looking at Edmund.
Coriakin: Something far more powerful than a witch.
Green smoke crawls down the stairs and seeps into the room.
Coriakin: It can steal the light from this world.
Lucy: How do we stop it?
Coriakin points at Edmund.
Coriakin: That sword you carry must be laid at Aslan’s table.
Shot of Edmund drawing a sword in a cave.
Shot of everyone walking around Aslan’s table. A great feast sits on it.
Coriakin: Only then can their true power be released.
Seven swords sit on Aslan’s table. They glow blue and then a great beam of light shoots up into the air.
Coriakin: You are all about to be tested.
The Unfathomable fate! (Narnia fans scream and yell and bash their heads into walls.)The Dawn Treader approaches the Dark Island.
Green smoke crawls onto the ship.
The White Witch: Edmund, come with me. I can make you my king, and much more.
The White Witch reaches out to Edmund.
The White Witch: My King.
Lucy: NOO!!!
Caspian: EDMUND!
Although it looks like in this trailer Edmund says yes to the WW, we got recent news that he does not infact fall for the WW's trick. Edmund says no to the WW they just made it look like he didn't. Phew! That's a relief.
The sword Edmund is holding glows blue.

Reepicheep soaking wet in a rainstorm clings to the ship.
Reepicheep: Onward to our destiny!

Drinian, Tavros, and Edmund stand at the helm of the Dawn Treader.
Tavros: What do you think is in there?
Sailors row boats towards Ramandu’s Island.
Someone (Drinian or Rynelf?): Things you can barely imagine.

Lucy walks through a doorway and as it closes becomes invisible on the island.

Shot of the Dawn Treader from above with Drinian at the helm and the crew standing around.

Shot of Lilliandril.
Lilliandril: The fate of Narnia depends on you.
Lilliandril turns back into a star and shoots up into the air.

Hmm! Not sure what to say about all this. Some of it is good some of it is bad. But for those who were worried we do get Caspian saying speeches in this movie.Hurrah! Although, at this point he seems to be saying them all about the ''fate of Narnia''.
Lucy looks down at a book with a bunch of jumbled letters. Blowing the dust off, it turns into The Book of Incantations. Lucy smiles. The book is opened and pages are turning rapidly. Lucy slams her hand down on the book. The next moment it is snowing and Lucy looks around smiling.
This is still a cool effect with the book.
Dragon Eustace flies overhead.

Caspian addressing the crew. The crew shouts “For Narnia!”

Caspian and the others battle the slavers in the bell tower.

Dragon Eustace flies over the volcanic island below.

The sea serpent erupts out of the ocean. The Dawn Treader lists to one side and the crew falls backwards. The sea serpent roars. Lucy aims an arrow.

Dragon Eustace flies over the Dawn Treader. One of the fauns does a somersault across the deck.

Eustace is surrounded by jumping Dufflepuds.

Reepicheep climbs the mast of the Dawn Treader and looks out from the crows nest and smiles.

Lucy, surrounded by Caspian, Edmund, Eustace and Aslan, kneels down to say goodbye to Reepicheep.

The sea serpent goes to attack Eustace as a dragon, and Eustace breaths fire back at the sea serpent.

Aslan roars.

Final credits.
Hmm!The Dragon at this point looks really weird from the front, but he looks okay from the side. The sea monster is scarier than I would have imagined it. But other than that I think I am out of things to say.

What Romantic Fans Need to get over the Susapian Romance in Narnia films by Rebekah Walton

Photobucket

1. They need one scene at least where Susan is having a bad hairdo and looks weird in the film. See picture of Susan above. (We also see this hairdo as the last one for her in the film. So the impression we are left with is not good.)
2. They need RD to look better for Caspian by never looking ugly.
picture of RD above.
3. They need to see that RD has something Susan doesn’t have making her better than Susan. (Like the fact that RD is a Retired Star‘s Daughter, and Susan is just Queen of Narnia during the golden age.)
4. They need to see that RD is kind, so they could never hate her.
5. All the scenes with Caspian and RD shouldn’t be romantic.
6. Fans must be given time to get over Susapian Romance

All Nine Narnia clips shown in New York Reviewed by Rebekah Walton

Clip #1

Edmund tries to sign up for the military, but he is rejected because he is too young. I love that the website character profiles says this is because he wants to get away from Eustace. But I still dislike the fact that they make it so the war is still going on.Lucy reminds Edmund that he is a king in Narnia, not where they live now. This is still sad. I will cut this line and Edmund's line just before this from the movie. The line she is responing to. Back at the Scrubb home, Eustace is shown writing in his diary: "Dear diary, it is now day 253 since my wretched cousins Lucy and Edmund invaded our house … If only one could treat relatives like one could treat insects, my problem would be solved. I could simply put them in a jar and pin them to a wall." Yes! Yes! Yes! Eustace mentions the beetles or insects he loves that are dead. Plus, he is doing his diary! But 253 days, wow! Maybe, Eustace is exaggerating. But I really can understand why Edmund is desparate. Although, I wonder why he didn't try anything before.Lucy and Edmund arrive at the Scrubb house. Edmund’s uncle is reading a newspaper, and Edmund sticks his tongue out at his unsuspecting uncle. Eustace is shown to be a tattletale by blabbing, "Father, Edmund’s making faces at you!" This almost seems un-Edmund like. But Eustace is totally in character. Although, you can't tell by this that Uncle Harold is weird. Maybe he is wearing weird clothes.
Susan is seen at a far-away location, and she writing a letter to Edmund and Lucy. At least I can imagine she is in America. Susan mentions that she was invited to a tea party by a handsome naval officer. Here starts the spectulation that this is a foreshadowing for The Last Battle. Or better yet, a foreshadowing Lucy and how she not thought of as the beautiful one in the family. Susan then tells Edmund and Lucy in the letter that the Germans have made it difficult to cross the border, so they won’t see each other for another few months — clearly an indication that the story is set during World War II. Ugh! This is where the whole theory that she is in America breaks down. Although, you do wonder where she is. Upon reading that part of the letter, Lucy looks dismayed and wails, "Another few months! How will we survive?" I love this part! It kind of puts the spirit of what a disapointing summer this will be for Edmund and Lucy before they go to Narnia that is.
Still in the Scrubb home, Lucy, Edmund and Eustace discover the magical Dawn Treader painting, which comes to life. The three children nearly drown, and they on the ship, having been saved by King Caspian and his crew. Lucy is ecstatic to see Caspian again. He tells her that he didn’t call for the Pevensies this time, as he did in the "Prince Caspian" story. Yet, Edmund asks the question,''If there aren't any wars than why are we here?
Eustace, who is unconscious, is revived by Reepicheep, and he immediately clashes with the mouse. I wonder if Reep talks to him when he first awakes.Eustace angrily accuses Reepicheep of trying to "claw my face off." That is so Eustace like. Trying to make excuses for what he did.Reepicheep defends himself by saying he was just trying to expel the water from Eustace’s lungs. Reep was doing a sort of CPR! Hilarious! I can't wait to see this part!Eustace, who doesn’t believe that Narnia is real, immediately faints when he sees a talking minotaur on the ship. We were so right! (does a victory dance.)Narniawebbers rule!Caspian then proudly introduces Edmund and Lucy to his crew as the High King and Queen of Narnia. Duh!

Clip #2

During the Dawn Treader voyage at sea, there’s a shortage of food (and tempers) on the ship.I wish they were correct to the book and there was a shortage of water.Reepicheep catches Eustace stealing an orange.Hurrah! At least they have Eustace trying to steal something. Eustace denies it. Eustace grabs Reepicheep by the tail, and Reepicheep tells Eustace in no uncertain terms, "No one touches the tail!" Reepicheep challenges Eustace to a sword duel. During the fight, Reepicheep uses his sword to pluck the orange out from Eustace’s clothes, where he was hiding it. Eustace sorta of swings Reep by his tail. Although, I wish he really did that. At least he is not trying to push him off the boat, as some of us were afraid of.
Clip #3

While the Dawn Treader passengers are sleeping on a beach, Caspian wakes up and discovers that Lucy has disappeared. This is an interesting change from the book. Somehow, they felt that Lucy overhearing their conversation and alerting everyone and then the Dufflepods stopping them before they get to the boat wasn't enough. That is so sad, because now noone who has not read the books will get why you must alawys tie your shoe by a tree. Also, they will not get why you must always call a girl sitting under a tree, Lucy.He alerts everyone, and they begin searching for her. It appears that Lucy has been kidnapped by two invisible giants that take her to a strange-looking garden and to an invisible house, where she finds the Book of Incantations. Here I just think someone messed up and she was taken by two dufflepods. I fear that they might actually have her kidnapped and not just appear to be kidnapped. She must go because she feels it is a very noble act and it is the only way to save the crew and not for any other reason. She has to read the spell that makes the unseen visible. Reciting the magical commands in the book, Lucy makes it snow inside the room. This is a weird thing that they added. And after reciting the incantation to "be the beauty you always wanted to be," Lucy looks in a mirror and sees that her reflection has turned into Susan’s face. I hate this! I hate this! I hate the fact that her reflection shows Susan! Ugh! This makes me so upset! It is not in the book, the ''be the beauty you always wanted to be=." It is instead, the ''beauty beyond the lot of mortals.'' Susan does not have beauty beyond the lot of mortals. Otherwise, she would have not just started one war with Calormen over her beauty but many wars with all countries.
Clip #4

Lucy, Edmund, Caspian and Eustace meet a magician named Coriakin (played by Bille Brown), who tells them about Dark Island: "a place where evil lurks" and which "can make your darkest dreams come true." Coriakin says that the only way to stop the evil is to break its spell by finding seven swords. Coriakin then rolls out a map and tells them to follow the blue star to Ramandu’s island, where the seven swords must be laid at Aslan’s feet. "Only then," Coriakin says, "the true magical power will be released. But beware, you’re all about to be tested. Until you lay down the seventh sword, evil has the upper hand. It will do everything in its power to tempt you. Don’t fall to temptation. To defeat the darkness out there, you must defeat the darkness inside yourself." Ugh! Unfathomable fate! All these lines are sort of ridiculous.

Clip #5

Eustace has been turned into a dragon as punishment for stealing gold. Well, I will take into mind that they probably assumed this and it isn't in the movie the reason why he was turned into a dragon. In this clip, Eustace (looking depressed, with a tear rolling down his face) and Reepicheep are gathered at a campfire. Reepicheep tries to comfort Eustace by telling him stories about other dragons that Reepicheep has encountered.
I love this part. It is so much like the book.
Clip #6

The Dawn Treader group arrives at Ramandu’s island. Ramandu's Daughter (played by Laura Brent) appears to them as a star and then in human form. She welcomes the Dawn Treader people, introduces herself as the daughter of Ramandu, and tells them that she is their guide. Caspian remarks, with an awestruck expression, "You are most beautiful!" RD answers, "If it is a distraction for you, I can change forms." Caspian and Edmund both answer at the same time: "No!" Caspian and Edmund then give each other annoyed glances as they realize that they are both attracted to RD. Lucy looks slightly exasperated, as if she’s thinking, "Boys will be boys."This whole interaction is confusing to me. Some of us Narnia fans hate it, some are optimistic, and others think it is funny, while still others are confused. I am confused. I sometimes am okay with it while other times I hate it. But in general, I don't think her line about how she can change forms should be in there. Because in the book she can't. Also, now they have officially made her name: Queen Lilly-on-dil the Shapeshifter. RD then invites everyone to eat a lavish feast. Edmund sees what appear to be lifeless bodies of men, scattered on the ground nearby. He asks Lilliandil about them, and she says that they were men that arrived at Ramandu’s island "half-mad" and ready to kill each other, so they were "sent to sleep" since "violence is forbidden at the table of Aslan." Lucy asks when the men will wake up. What happened to the stone knife? it is not the fact that they were fighting that they were put to sleep but the fact that they touched the stone knife that killed Aslan. Where is that stone knife? Lilliandil replies, "When all is put right." I love this line it is so in the theme of the books.

Clip #7

This clip was a brief part of the epic battle scene between an evil sea serpent and the Dawn Treader group. This part of the footage showed Eustace (in dragon form) getting the brunt of the attack. The sea serpent is much larger than Eustace, and it is by far the most fearsome creature seen in a "Narnia" movie so far. Note to parents and guardians: Although this sea serpent may frighten some children under the age of 9, most kids who are ages 9 or older should be able to handle seeing this monster on screen.Glumpuddle has been suggesting that they have Eustace dragon fight the serpent since before they started filming. At least they take some of his advice. (Eventhough, I doubt they ever hear him saying this.)I just wish they would take more of all the fans advice and make this movie like the book.
Clip #8

Before introducing this clip, Apted said at this point in the movie, the Dawn Treader group has found the seven swords, and the serpent and witch (presumably he was referring to the White Witch, played by Tilda Swinton, since she was shown in the first "Dawn Treader" trailer) have been defeated.Weird. Ugh! Unfathomable fate!I hate those words officially. Caspian is rowing a boat carrying himself, Lucy, Eustace (now back in human form), Edmund and Reepicheep on the Sea of Lilies. Edmund asks Eustace what it felt like when Aslan changed Eustace back into a human. Eustace says it "sort of hurt" but "it was good pain." Eustace then apologizes for his bad behavior. Edmund replies, "It’s OK, Eustace. You were a pretty good dragon." The five Dawn Treader victors end up on a beach where Aslan suddenly appears and congratulates them. Lucy asks, "Is this your country?’ Aslan replies, "No, my country lies beyond."To read what I think of this go to clip 3 review on of my previous posts it is the same clip as clip three of the family hour package. Clip3 link:
Clip #9

Lucy, Edmund, Eustace, Caspian and Reepicheep are still on the beach with Aslan. After being told that if they go to Aslan’s Country, there is no going back, the children decide to go home to their families. Weird. They are given the option of dieing now or dying later in the train crash.Reepicheep asks Aslan if he can go to Aslan’s Country. Aslan says yes. Lucy asks to hug Reepicheep, and he consents with mock reluctance. Eustace is crying silently, and Reepicheep says to him, "Don’t cry. What a magnificent puzzle you are and a true hero." Reepicheep goes in a minature row boat, rows out on a tidal wave and disappears into the sea. There’s sweeping end-of-the-movie farewell music throughout this whole scene. It’s the kind of scene that is supposed to make viewers shed a few tears. I don't like the fact that Reepicheep is told he can go to Aslan's Country. I love that Lucy got her hug! I love that Eustace and Reepicheep are such great friends. Maybe it will be too sad I will have to wait and see.

Narnia clips from Family Hour Product by Rebekah Walton

There were three clips that recently went on the Internet.
Clip#1:
(Note: They were taken off YouTube and the only way to view them is by buying the Family Hour product. I have left a link to how to get that product.)The first started with a scene of Eustace writing in a journal. All Narnia Fans know this was awesome to see. Eustace's diary, ah, such good times we had reading his diary in the book. Then Lucy's voice says,''We're home.'' Eustace quickly tucks the journal in his sock. The clip changes to Lucy looking at herself in the mirror. We only see this for a minute though. Anyway, I guess that is sorta of foreshadowing the spell that makes you beautiful beyond the lot of mortals. (Which by the way, does not make you look like Susan. They made that up. I am really disappointed that they made the beauty beyond the lot of mortals be Susan.) Then the scene changes to Edmund looking at the picture of a ship on the sea. (A.K.A. Dawn Treader)Edmund says to Lucy,''Hey, Lucy have you see this ship before? Lucy turns and looks at it and says,''It's very Narnian looking isn't it?'' (Hurrah, almost exact lines to the book!) I love this scene. Eustace comes into the room. ''There once were two orphans, who wasted their time believing in Narnia nursery rhymes.'' This line if taken literally can be quite scary. For instance, if they did kill off the Pevensies parents that means, they could cause a great friendship to occur between Lucy and MLG(Gael)because they have more in common. Edmund would be more vulnerable to certain things, I think what the White Witch should have said if this were the case, ''I can bring your parents back.'' (This is one of the reasons why I think it is unlikely that they are actually orphans.) If the White Witch said this instead of '' I can make you King and so much more,'' then I would consider this possibility. But for now I will assume this is not true. But if this were true: (Spoiler for Last Battle)Susan would no be as emotional if her parents died years before and her siblings, and Eustace and Jill died later. Where as if they die at the same time it would be worse for her. She couldn't be comforted for any of their deaths because she only had Alberta and Harold left. Who really wants to be left with them? Although, they could possibly change because of this. Susan would most likely go back to being a friend of Narnia when this occurred after much despair and emotional trauma. Edmund retorts back,''Don't you knock?'' This is yet another reason why I don't believe they are really orphans. Eustace says,''It's my house, I can do as I please, you are just guests.'' Then he goes and sits on Lucy's bed. Ed and Lucy turn back to the picture. Lucy says,''Edmund it looks like the water is actually moving.''Glumpuddle did think that way Lucy said it made her sound like she was insane. She sounds to me as if she only is imagining or dreaming or wishing it to be that way not like it is actually happening. If I didn't know better I'd said it wasn't happening at all.Eustace responds with,''See, that's what happens when you read all those novels and fairytales of yours.'' Edmund still looking at the picture resonds with,''There once was a boy named Eustace who read books, full of facts that were useless.'' Lucy smiles and then they continue to look at the picture. I think this is quite out of character for Lucy. I feel that she would have said something to the effect of,''Edmund!'' or ''Edmund,'' in a voice that you knew meant she was rebuking Ed for saying that. But for Edmund it is totally in character. ''People who read fairytales, are always the sort that become a hideous burden to people like me.'' replies Eustace. You can almost visibly see Edmund's back stiffen. If there was a time when you thought the words,''Oh, he shouldn't have said that...and he is going to get it,'' in the same sentence this would be it. You almost think Edmund is going to punch him.Edmund turns around and faces him. Eustace doesn't get the clue and continues talking. ''...who read books with real information.''he finishes. (I love Will Poulter as Eustace.) Edmund retort back with some of Eustace's own words in question form,''Hideous burden?'' It's like Edmund can't believe Eustace would say something that mean. Eustace gets off Lucy's bed and goes up to Edmund. ''I haven't seen you lift a finger since we got here,''replies Edmund approaching Eustace and making him back up. Then we see Lucy looking at the picture and water is coming out of the frame. (We all knew this would happen but I am still disapointed, they didn't do it like the book.) Then Lucy's hair starts to blow around. Eustace notices the painting and says,''What's going on here?'' They ignore him and Lucy says to Edmund, ''Edmund! The painting!.'' I love this moment. Then the water keeps coming in from the painting. Eustace goes to destory the painting and Edmund tries to stop him. The room floods and they go to Narnia. ( Overall, I enjoyed this clip and almost everyone but Lucy once wasn't in character. But I love the whole Eustace Edmund fight.)

Clip #2:
Eustace is walking along on a mountain like terrain. He sees gold but cannot reconize it and says,''What's that?'' then he falls down a side of the mountain like area to the gold. That is an intresting way to make him fall off the hill side. Plus, there is no grass at all here.He starts picking up as much gold as he can carry. YThey are following the book with this.He says,''I must be dead....I bet the others would like this.'' Then he sees a bracelet on a skeleton,he grabs it off the skeleton and says,''I guess you won't be needing that.'' He puts the bracelet on. That is beyond a little creepy. I always supposed in the book that the Lord Octesian became the other dragon that died. I am glad that he put the bracelet on but it seems weird that he would act that way around a skeleton. Then he turns and you see smoke. Then you see Edmund and Caspian looking for him. ''Eustace!'' They call. They see the gold and get down to the gold. Edmund finds Eustace's burnt shoes and says,''What could have happened to him?'' I still think that them finding a dead dragon would have beenbetter than finding Eustace's burnt shoes. Then he says,''I never should have left him.'' Caspian responds with a ,''I am sorry.'' We aren't quite sure whether he is saying this to the skeleton or Edmund.Okay, this doesn't make sense, Edmund didn't leave Eustace in the book. Eustace wandered off by himself because he didn't want to do work. Then back on the boat everyone sees fire shoot up from one of the mountains on the island.Lucy asks,''What's that?''MLG says,''Is it the volcano?'' Rhince replies with that is no Volcano.'' This sounds liker Rhince must be familiar with dragons. He knows it's not a volcano. (Okay, everyone else could tell it wasn't a volcano except MLG, but that's not the point.)He also, is afraid of it so he must have met dragons before. There must have been other dragons.Which is cool. But I am wondering why Rhince saw them.

Clip #3:
They are on the ship. Caspian says seeing the lillies, ''Aslan's Country we must be close.''Okay, Caspian if you can see Aslan's Country there is no point in saying you must be close.Caspian is rowing a boat carrying himself, Lucy, Eustace (now back in human form), Edmund and Reepicheep on the Sea of Lilies. If you exclude Caspian from on the boat this is almost exactly like the book scene.Edmund asks Eustace what it felt like when Aslan changed Eustace back into a human. Eustace says it "sort of hurt" but "it was good pain." Eustace then apologizes for his bad behavior. Edmund replies, "It’s OK, Eustace. You were a pretty good dragon." What is up with is? Have they reduced the talk Eustace had with Edmund after his undragoning to this? What a dumb line,''You were a pretty good dragon.'' Thank you Fox!(sarcastically.) How does this even capture how Eustace and Edmund related to each other in the book? This was the part I was most worried about in the film, and now they have ruined it. Lucy then says,''I wonder what Aslan's Country looks like? And Eustace responds with,''I can't imagine it really.''
This at least goes along with the theme of the longing for something. I don't really like this clip in general.

Narnia Trailer on Wimpy Kid by Rebekah Walton

The first scene is a shot of a stain glass window of a church. Glumpuddle points out that there is a lampost in the stain glass. I think that is pretty cool. Also, you will notice as they zoom out and around the building, there are lion heads on the building. At first, when we hear about this scene in the Biola trailer, I was confused why we would have a church building, and I spectulated at lot. But now that I see it for myself, it looks like the scene near the begining of Prince Caspian where there was a lion statue near the train station. Despite what others think about it I love the whole ''put a mention of Narnia or Aslan in England''. The second shot is Lucy looking at herself in mirror with what looks to be Aslan beside her talking. She is wearing a white Narnia shirt it looks like. Probably, what her night clthes are. Aslan's voice says,''You have returned for a reason.''I almost think well duh, but it sounds pretty cool in the trailer. I don't expect they actually put this line in the film so its all good. Next we see the room with the Magician's book in the middle. The way it is dimly lit makes it look cool and spooky. Then Lucy is seen entering the room, the way her face is lit makes it look really cool.Next we see all the book with it's words all jumbled on the cover. This is a really cool effect I am going to love to see in the movie when the words un scramble themselves to the words,''The Book of Incantations.'' Then of course, Lucy opens the book and the snow falls and she looks up and around. Other people think it looks like Harry Potter, but since I haven't seen that it doesn't look like that to me. Then looks head shot where she is looking up starts and the words in the background are,''You adventure begins...''The pages of the book flip and then the background voice says,''Now.'' I have a feeling this line won't happen in the movie either. But these are really cool things we are seeing with the book. Then it goes to the pevensies and Eustace swimming in the water. That is a really cool shot I think. I have always loved underwater camera shots. Next we see Caspian and what looks to be Lucy being pulled up out of the water on to the boat. I think this scene is cool too. Then we see shots of the Dawn Treader sailing Reepicheep holding on to the boat and RD appearing in her person form from a star. The voice is saying in the background,''You've got an extradinary destiny, something greater than you have ever imagined.'' The boat really really cool, and so does Reepicheep. But I still don't like the idea that RD is a star and then turns into a person. I like it better when in the book her father is a star, but currently he is a retired star who gets younger everyday. Then we has become young enough he will go back to being a star in the sky. But as far as we know of RD she could be only part star we have no idea who her mother was. Anyway, she never becomes a star in the sky. That's why I think it makes more sense for Caspian to marry her in the book than in the movie. Then the words ''Return to Hope'' appear on the screen. Then the four Pevensies are seen walking. Then we see them indivually too as the words in the background are in the voice of RD,''The fate of Narnia depends on you.'' This still is a really weird scene. Although, we know this is only a small part in the movie, we are still wondering why it is even here. It looks like what is behind them is thrones though. ''Return to Wonder'' are the words on the screen. Then we see Lucy disapear into a door in the middle of nowhere on the Island of the Dufflepuds. I wish though this was the door in the sky they go back to their own world with. Is the house invisible too? That is a question we will probably wonder until the movie comes out. ''Return to Narnia'' are the words on the screen. Then we see on the Dawn Treader part of the crew and stain glass doors. The words in the background are,''This Christmas.. '' Then we see the seagirl/nuymph(we don't really know what yet. It's confusing. Why is she clear if she is a seagir?)going though the water and Lucy waving. This would have been cool if she was a seagirl and not clear. The voice says in the background, ''comes the greatest voyage in C. S. Lewis' epic masterpiece.'' Then comes a scene I wish we didn't see in the trailer, Coriakin becomes visible. This is a really cool scene and i wish they had waited till the movie was out to show us this scene. Then one of the best scenes so far is seen. The boat rowing though lillies. Again, I wish we also didn't see this it kind of ruins the whole ''are those dangerous aspect in the book?''. In the background is Caspian's voice saying,'' Be strong! Think of the Lost Souls we are here to save. Think of Aslan! Think of Narnia!'' then we see Lucy holding Susan's bow and arrows. I want to believe that Caspian is talking about the Seven Lords and not actually souls of people but I at this point I don't know hat to think. Then we see Aslan picture carved on the wall and below that the Horn of Susan. I don't really like the fact that her horn is here because in the book it was given to Trumpkin while he served Regent while Caspian went on the Dawn Treader and sailed away. But I like the aspect that it is kept as a artifact of Narnia in a special place. Then we see the sunset over the ocean. Aslan roars and the Narnia logo appears.

Zaddie romance effected by Zaya romance? by Rebekah Walton

I thought there was going to be a big change or something in the Suite Life on Deck series as it started a new season. But to tell you the truth it feels like except for the fact that Cody and Bailey are no longer together,(but will get back together by the end of this season.)everyone else is acting like they were in the last seasons and even Suite Life of Zack and Cody. First off, I want to say I am an avid Zaddie fan. And for those who aren't familiar with the term that means I am a avid fan of romance between Madeline Margaret Genevieve Miranda Catherine "Maddie" Fitzpatrick and Zachary "Zack" Martin. So, when they said they were introducing a new girl for the new season called Maya*cough, cough,Macy(name taken from Jonas La.)cough, cough* that Zack liked who would eventually become his girlfriend, I was upset. But having watched the episode, I think what? Zack Martin is a player, everyone knows that but with a few girls he became serious when dating them and was very loyal to them. So, when Maya came out, and Zack wanted to date her but she didn't like him, I thought what is new? This happened in episode 19 of season 2,called,''Ask Zack,'':Darlene is the girl Zack is in love with during this episode, she pretends to not like him and he wins her over, but when she finds out he is ''Ask Shirley'' in the newspaper she wants noting to do with him. He then admits that he is Shirley in the newspaper and apologizes in the paper for anything he did, and Darlene becomes his girlfriend again. Or in Episode 22, season 2, called,''"A Midsummer's Nightmare", Zack falls in love with a girl named Vanessa. (Not sure why, she was way too full of herself.)Anyway, Vanessa dislikes Zack but likes Cody, while Cody's girlfriend Gwen dumped him because she likes Zack. Regardless of the fact another pretty girl(Gwen) liked him, he didn't care and was still trying to get Vanessa. In the end, he doesn't get Vanessa but you get my point. Another is episode 18, of season 3, where Zack likes the girl named Dakota. She thinks of him as a little kid and is tutoring him. But Zack doesn't give up, he gets Travis to cook a meal for her claiming he cooked it. But when she finds out he was lying, she thinks it is cute of him for trying to impress her and kisses him. In other words, he got her. Not not even mention the countless times he did stuff for Maddie to try to get her to go out with him and become his girlfriend and eventually marry him. He had a crush on Maddie for all the seasons even the ones she wasn't in, but he went out with other girls all the time. So,to understand what I am saying I will sum it up in a few words,''Zack liking Maya will not effect Zack marrying Maddie and will not even really matter in the long run. Maddie was always perfect for Zack and she always will be. And since this series will not run long enough to see Zack married, I think I can be safe in saying he will get Maddie not Maya in the end.'' So, is Zaddie romance effected by Zaya romance? Not a chance. Maya is just like another Dakota or even Darlene. Zaddie Romance rules!

Mandie and the Cherokee Treasure by Rebekah Walton

This movie is coming out Fall of 2010!
Plus it has one of my favorite actresses playing Mandie (she is really good as Mandie, maybe even better than Mandie herself), Lexi Johnson. I love the Mandie series (although I haven't read them all)and I love the actress Lexi Johnson. (Lexi Johnson is the perfect actress for the character Lamb Abigail Dard.)Here is link to the movie site:

Go buy the dvd in Fall of 2010!

Eustace ''A Momma's Boy''? by Rebekah Walton

We just recently got news that Eustace cries ''Mother'' when they are swept away by the picture into Narnia in the movie. (This was before the trailer.) There is only one way this could be good.if this is the only time he calls his mum mother and the rest of the time he calls her Alberta. Then if in this moment of fear he calls her Mother, maybe, this can be showed as an example to say he was just afraid and in his fear he blurted something he never would have if he weren't afraid. But if this is not the case, and if instead they don't have Eustace calling his parents by their first names this could be the worst thing they have changed yet. You might say why does it matter if Eustace calls his parents Father and Mother instead of Harold and Alberta like he does in the book. It makes a huge difference. It not only told people how weird his parents were or how ''up to date'' people they really were, but it tells the character of Eustace. Eustace was a tattle taler. But everyone who hears a young boy(maybe Lucy's age or a year younger or a year older depending on how old people think he is in the movie.) cries ''Mother'' when he is being swept away into another world will immediately think,''He is a Momma's Boy.'' Eustace is in noway a Momma's Boy.Under a certain age people will think nothing of a boy crying ''Mother,''they will not think he is a Momma's Boy. But Eustace is in noway that young, and could not be portrayed in the movie that young with the actor they have chosen. The Eustace they have chosen can only be thought of as at the youngest 10, and at the oldest 16. (which in fact is his real age.) So,knowing that we cannot have Eustace call out,''Mother,'' and get away with it without people thinking he is a Momma's Boy. Eustace was a tattle taler and not a Momma's Boy as I said earlier. Some people may not know the difference so I will explain. ( I am not making this description I will tell you up,I know what they are like, because when I was a child I was a tattle taler.) Anyway, a tattle taler is a child at any age who tend to follow others around the same age or older and if they do anything slightly wrong (even if they do it on accident) will tell on them to an adult or parent so they get in trouble. If you think tattle talers are nice kids that just want to help out and that kids their age just take them as horrible people because they don't want to get in trouble you are wrong. There are kids like that out there that are just trying to do the best for their friends by telling on them but I am not talking about those kids. As I said there are kids like that out there, but very few. The kids I am talking about who want to get everyone in trouble all the time. Now, they don't just tell the adults if you do something wrong, but they make sure you do something wrong and then tell on the adults. They follow you around all day, annoy you to no end, sing songs that you hate on purpose, make up songs that will annoy you on purpose, they smile when you get in trouble (an evil smile), and last of all but not least they scream and yell when they are not hurt in the least to get you in trouble. (And if you don't believe these kids exist you have only to look at my childhood. I was one of these kids. I made up a song called, ''I am a Martyr,'' just to annoy my siblings, and since I was the oldest of the three younger kids I got them to do things with me that would annoy the older siblings.) That is what I am referring to when I say tattle talers. Eustace, I wholeheartedly was one of them. He came into Lucy's room and annoyed them on purpose, he stayed in the room when they wanted him to leave Lucy's room.( In essence, he stayed there to annoy them.) And one of first words out of his mouth were when the pictures waves were really moving was,''I will tell Alberta.'' He threatens to tell his mom. That can only mean one thing. That Eustace was in fact, a tattle taler. A Momma's boy is:A male who needs to hear from or see his mother on a daily basis and definately more then once.So if they change his line from,'' I'll tell Alberta,'' to ''Mother,'' it leaves a different connotation. Plus, if he calls his mum ''Mother'' instead of ''Alberta'' all the kids who haven't read Voyage of the Dawn Treader will be confused why a lot of the fan fics make up that Eustace called his mum,''Mother,'' when he got back from Narnia, and his mum gets upset. Eustace is one of my favorite characters because I was once like him and would have acted like he did. So, to me if they change him to a Momma's boy they have ruined Dawn Treader for me. Because they have ruined my favorite character that ties for first place in my list of favorites with Edmund Pevensie because I was also like Edmund as a child. Please don't do this Apted!

Overview of the teaser trailer for Dawn Treader by Rebekah Walton

For now I am doing an overview of the Dawn Treader Teaser Trailer I will do a more in depth view of each part of the trailer in posts to come. This is the link to the Trailer:
http://www.narniaweb.com/2010/06/the-voyage-of-the-dawn-treader-trailer-is-here/
Anyway here is my overview:
Okay, Blow by blow :
Opening shot in Cambridge with recruitment posters
Recruitment Officer: Are you sure you’re 18?
Edmund: Why, do I look older?
Lucy: Edmund, you’re supposed to be helping me with the groceries.
Other boys in line: [laughter] Good luck next time eh squirt?

My thoughts: Funny! Edmund thinks spending a summer at the Scrubbs is worse then being in the army. So, he is enlisting in the army hoping that he won't have to spend the summer with the Scrubbs. Also, I think of the leaked Dawn Treader script they were going to have Edmund and Lucy come back from shopping for the Scrubbs. The Scrubbs told them to get something at the store. I suppose that this is really just this scene in a different way. I think I might be rolling in laughter when I see it in the theaters if this is the case. Hilarious scene! I am guessing this is the opening scene.

Outside of the recruitment building Edmund and Lucy load up their groceries on a bicycle
Edmund: Squirt! I’m a king.
Lucy: Not in this world.
My thoughts: Uh, I am a little bit worried here. Didn't they do this with Peter in the last film? Please don't ruin Ed in this film! But I am not going to worry too much. I hope they don't end up having these lines in the film. (They could take them out. I have seen deleted scenes in trailers before.)But if these are the only lines where Edmund says something to this effect I am okay.

20th Century Fox Logo and the Walden Media Logo

My thoughts: Well, if we were unsure Walden and Fox were doing this film we are sure they doing it now.

In the Scrubb household, Edmund and Lucy study a painting of an ocean with a tiny ship sailing on it
Edmund: Lucy, have you seen this ship before?

My thoughts: I thought it would be a bigger ship in the picture. I wish we had seen Harold and Alberta. But maybe that means they have a very small part.

A closeup of the painting and the waves are starting to roll and on one side a tiny trickle of water forms
Lucy: It’s very Narnian looking isn’t it?
My thoughts: The book! Hurrah!
In the same bedroom, all of a sudden the painting starts gushing water into the room and Edmund, Lucy and Eustace look dumbfounded
Eustace: What’s going on here?
Lucy: Edmund the painting!
Eustace yells and pulls it off the wall. Edmund and Lucy try to help, but water is rapidly filling the bedroom. Lucy screams and falls and suddenly the room is completely underwater with furniture floating around. They swim upwards towards the surface and just as they reach it and gasp for air Lucy turns and sees the Dawn Treader sailing towards them.
Lucy: Edmund!

My thoughts: Well, we knew what they changed. I am sorta of sad that Eustace didn't almost drown along with almost killing Lucy but it's okay.

Caspian and Lucy are hoisted out of the water onto the ship. Lucy, now in Narnian clothes looks into a mirror and sees her reflection and Aslan looking back at her.
Lucy: Aslan.
Aslan: Welcome. You have come far, but your journey lies beyond.

My thoughts: That's a cool elavator like thing that Caspian and Lucy are on. I am guessing Coriakin's island. But then again it looks like Lucy just woke up from a nap so maybe the on the ship or on the Lone Islands.

A shot of the Dawn Treader sailing away from an island at sunset. A shot of a minotaur on board as well as a couple crew members in the background. A shot of Lucy and Edmund standing on deck wrapped in blankets.
Lucy: Reepicheep!
Reepicheep bows.
Reepicheep: Your majesties!

My thoughts: Hmm....well, I didn't notice Reepicheep's voice change. Did you?

A shot of a mermaid swimming in the water next to the ship. She waves and Lucy waves back.

My thoughts: Mermaid! Yes! But the mermaid is a clear color. Noooo! Although I guess it could really be a niad. Question is why are we seeing a niad if it is one?

Edmund: So if there are no wars to fight, then why are we here?
Caspian walks through a door followed by Edmund and someone else. Edmund looks through a spyglass. A shot of an island surrounded by fog. A shot of Coriakin magically throwing a map across the floor.
Coriakin: You are all about to be tested.

My thoughts: Well, we knew that they put more plots in this movie than the one in the book.

A shot of Eustace peeking through something. Smoking tendrils surround the ship and head towards the crew members. One in particular heads towards Edmund.
White Witch: Edmund, I can make you my king.
A vision of the White Witch
White Witch: And much more.

My thoughts: Seriously, Witch haven't you realized that doesn't work. Edmund is not going to fall for that. Edmund is already King and much more. I know that this is only a dream but really, did you have to make her say that? ''Are you really stupid as all that?''- Narnia Book Quote

Lucy blows across the cover of the Magician’s Book and the letters on the front of it arrange into The Book of Incantations. She opens it. She sees a reflection of herself on one page and then begins to transform into Susan.
Lucy: I’m beautiful.
Lucy hears a lion roar and jumps away from the book as pages quickly turn away from the page. Next shot is Lucy standing in the Magician’s room as snow is falling all around her. She gazes up in wonder.

My thoughts: Nooo!!!!!!!!!! Susan is not beautiful beyond the lot of mortals! Ugh! But I wish we had seen something of Marjorie Preston.

Coriakin: You have an extraordinary destiny.
Reepicheep quickly climbs up the mast of the Dawn Treader where he reaches the crow’s nest and looks out smiling.
Coriakin: Something greater than you could have imagined.

My thoughts: Reepicheep goes to the crow's nest ! Yes!

Narrator: From C. S. Lewis’ epic masterpiece…

My thoughts: Glad to know they are taking this story from the book!

Shot of the crew aboard the Dawn Treader with Drinian at the helm. Shot of what is likely Narrowhaven. Shot of RD glowing beautifully.
Ramandu's daughter: The fate of Narnia depends on you.
Narrator: This Christmas…
Edmund holds Rhindon in his hand. It’s glowing blue. RD turns back into a star and shoots into the heavens while Caspian, Edmund, and Lucy look on.

My thoughts: Ramandu's daughter is the blue star like in the leaked script. Nooo! But on the other hand Edmund gets to hold a cool sword. Supposedly, Rhindon is not just Peter the High King's sword but also, a glow in the dark sword.Or I guess it could be like Sting in LOTR.

Narrator: Return to Hope
Shot of a faun doing a flip in Narrowhaven and kicking someone. Shot of Lucy aboard the Dawn Treader about to fire an arrow.
Narrator: Return to Magic

My thoughts: awww! A fight. Well, we have the tag lines that don't make any sense.

In the magician’s study, suddenly where he was once invisible, Coriakin turns around with a book in his hand. Shot changes to the Dufflepuds bouncing around on one foot with Eustace standing in the middle of them looking dumbfounded.
Chief Dufflepud: This place just gets weirder and weirder.
Narrator: Return to Narnia

My thoughts: Cool! Monopods! First when I watched this I thought Eustace said it. I had to watch it again to realize that I could see him and he wasn't talking. Tagline that doesn't make sense again.

Shot of Caspian, Edmund, Lucy, Eustace, and Reepicheep paddling a rowboat through the sea of lilies. Shot of Aslan standing on dry ground next to Caspian, Edmund, Eustace, Lucy, and Reepicheep while holding back a wave.
Aslan: You have returned for a reason. Your adventure begins now.

My thoughts: The Lillies! Hurrah! Goodbye, farewell scene most likely. I didn't think ASlan was holding back the waves either. I guess it could be Peter, Susan, Edmund, Lucy, and Reepicheep. Although, I am still wondering why Reep is here if it is farewell.

Shot of Peter. Shot of Susan. Shot of Lucy. Shot of Edmund. Aslan standing on the shore roars.
End credits. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader form out of spiked rocks and then turn into the well known logo with the Dawn treader seen sailing in the background between snowy mountains. Christmas. 3D.
Narrator: The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Directed by Michael Apted. This December in Digital 3D.

My thoughts: Uh.....I hope this is a dream scene(the scene with Peter and Susan)...I like the logo in the rocks! What else can I say?

White Witch in VDT by Rebekah Walton

Nooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But realistically, if it is only for that dream sequence as the Narniafans says then I am okay with it and it makes sense. But wouldn't the audience think it is kind of repetitive to have the White Witch show up in all three movies? Would some of the think why kill her off if she shows up in every movie anyway? Will some not watch the movies anymore because they believe them to all be the same? Frankly, in this case I am just worried about the audience. And if we keep having dream sequences won't it get the audience thinking that every Narnian movie must have dream scenes. I really don't want this.

Biola Conference Footage ''spoilers''

Here is what I think of every single line of this trailer:
*The “trailer” starts with a sweeping view of a church with lion gargoyles, 20th century people exiting the doors below. Aslan’s voice speaks in the background about times changing.
Hmm…….why a church? Are Aunt Alberta and Uncle Harold going to come out of the church with Eustace and act really weird. Or will Aunt Alberta be gossiping about the Pevensies.

*Edmund and Lucy in Eustace’s bedroom. Edmund asks Lucy if she has seen the ship in the picture before. Lucy smiles and says it’s very Narnian.
Well, I got to say that is pretty accurate to the book. What else can I say?
*Eustace, Edmund, and Lucy in Eustace’s bedroom, with water pouring out of the picture frame and filling the bedroom. They swim in the water and emerge at the surface with the Dawn Treader.
We already knew they were changing this. I am not surprised.

*Edmund and Lucy in Narnian clothes in Caspian’s cabin. Edmund wonders why they have been called to Narnia if there is no war or trouble.
Edmund never says anything about wondering that in the book. That’s all I have to say.

*Lucy walks down the hall to the magician’s book. She opens it as Aslan’s voice speaks in the background. Snow falls as she gazes around in wonder.
Well, it could be that these things are not even related. I don’t know since I didn’t even see the trailer. Lucy does walk down a hall.
Another clip of the book includes Lucy looking on the page of the spell of beauty beyond the lot of mortals, and her image in the books morphs into an image of Susan.
Really weird. Unless her looking beautiful beyond a lot of mortals is looking like Susan, and I hope beyond hope I am wrong, that doesn’t make any sense.

*Coriaken unrolls a huge map, his voiceover telling them of the perils ahead. Apparently, the writers have combined some of the episodes in the book to create a goal to defeat the “darkness” that threatens Narnia. It seems that they have to land on the dark island and follow a “blue star” to Ramandu’s island.
Huh? Really the ‘‘blue star’’ is true? Come on guys, the reason everyone was enraged about the leaked VDT script is partly, because of the ‘‘blue star’’ element.

*Footage of Gael and Lucy. Gael says to Lucy in a ship’s cabin, “When I grow up, I want to be just like you.” Lucy replies by putting her arm around Gael and saying, “When you grow up, I want you to be just like you.”
Just like Lucy. At least she isn’t out of character.
Another scene includes Lucy comforting Gael as she misses her mother by telling her to trust in Aslan.
This seems to confirm the Slave girl theory.

*Eustace sitting among some barrels, writing in his notebook. He asks an albatross on a barrel if he talks too, and a nearby minotaur laughs at him talking to animals.
Okay, is this before or after he changes? Wait, I just had a thought. But I hope this isn’t it. Eustace liking beetles pinned on cards, is now a sorta of scientist in this movie and is writting down all the facts about animals in this new world.

*A dragon shadow swooping across a mountainside.
Okay, cool. What color is he?

*Coriaken becoming visible again: a table of books begin to blur as his image moves, not blending in with his surroundings anymore.
We see him become visible? Wow, ruins the fun there.

*Reepicheep climbing a mast.
Really cool.

*Ramandu’s daughter emerging out of light. She welcomes the group to Aslan’s table.
Hmm….From the book. But who plays Ramandu?

*Lucy looking on a door that opens out of nowhere, with light beyond, presumably the door in the sky.
Could be cool if it really is that.

*Edmund, Eustace and Lucy on a beach with Aslan, presumably at the end of the world. Lucy asks if they will return.
Yes! Another accurate part to the book, brawahaa!
As more clips play, Aslan’s voiceover speaks the line of them knowing him by another name in their world.
We already knew that, I wish I had seen this part.

*Coriaken with the crew of the DT. He throws some white stuff in Eustace’s direction and says something, maybe a spell. Lucy asks Coriaken what the white stuff was, and he replies, “Lint, but don’t tell him that.”
So, they meet Coriaken after Eustace changes? I assume this is to make Eustace think Coriaken made him either brave, courageous, or something to that effect.

*The footage ends as other trailers have, the Narnia logo sweeping away, this time made of finished stone.
Maybe the rock that King Caspian threw the golden arm bracelet to is this one. Cross your fingers.
Thank you subjectofthehighking!!

I am really excited to see the movie, but hopefully we see (actually see not just some people at a conference, but everyone see) a trailer soon.
