RD vs. Susan by Rebekah Walton

This is not what I meant when I said they should give the Susapian fans some time to get over the romance and stop hating Ramandu's Daughter. I have not seen the film yet, I will see it Thursday night at 12:01 but I have heard from recent reports that Caspian only sees Ramandu's Daughter in a five minute scene and we never see her again in the film or have any inkling of a romance really between the two or that he even likes her.

The only inkling is when he says she is pretty that is it. What on earth? You make up a romance that was never there but then you don't develop the romance that was there. Even with the little time she was in the book it sounds like more time than she got in the movie. How will anyone be able to even like her if she has a lack of time and nothing to build on for their romance? They didn't even do the things that they did in the book where Lucy brings her up and tells Caspian he has to go back because he promised Ramandu's Daughter he would.

What are they planning on doing in the next movie? They have no time to create a romance in the next movie between them or else they will be running pretty fast paced.

This is like what they did with Maddie and Zack from Suite Life. Zack had a crush on Maddie for 4 years and then suddenly out of the blue Maya shows up and he falls for her. They had to show several episodes with Maya showing that she was good for Zack. But in general they failed because she was only in a few episodes and Maddie is still considered way better by most fans including me. Or for that matter, London had better chemistry with Zack and a lot of people thought that Zack and London would be a great couple as well. In fact, they had a whole episode showing what would be like married to each other. What I am trying to say is that they needed more screen time than they gave her or at least they should have followed the book and given her the amount of time she was given in the book. Plus, the screen time they did give her made her feel evil and creepy. They failed!

Updated....Now having watched VODT I was correct, They did not make RD look better for Caspian than Susan thus showing the fans why they should move on. Ugh, they made the romance between for Caspian and Susan look like it had more to it than RD and Caspian. They failed. Really, I just want to watch BBC, because at least they did their romance correctly.

This is like what they did for Edwin and Faramir in the Lord of the Rings movie. They gave them less screen time than the book and took out their really cute moments. But, in this case since they ruined this potential romance in Prince Caspian by making a dreaded romance, than they needed to spend more screen time with this couple in order for anyone to like them.
