Narnia Prince Caspian my view by Rebekah Walton.

Narnia. The movie has changed so much. Okay, in the movie they get into some kind of fight. Well, in the book no such fight ever happens. They are sitting on the train platform when they are called away to Narnia, that is how the book starts. But the movie starts with Caspian fleeing for his life. In the movie, Peter wants his kingship back and is not accepting Caspian. But in the book, Peter wants to help Caspian gain his throne. Edmund in the movie, loses a lot of his lines he had in the book. But so far he has two funny lines:''It's King Edmund, actually.'' and ''Neither are you.'' Susan is not so gentle. And she wears armor that does not look right on her. Lucy is standing up for what is right against all odds. (Lucy's character is more like the books than anyone else's except maybe Edmund.)I dislike Peter's ego thing. But I am glad Edmund still stands up for Lucy.(like in the book.) Watch the movie and read the book. Comment what you think.

This is a comment worth making. You sometimes see changes between the book and the movie that leave the characters hardly recognizable and if you like the book, it can spoil your appreciation of the movie. I've heard of one author who saw the movie made from his book and walked out in despair. There is a need to respect the author's way of characterizing the figures in their story.

I totally agree. The author of the book V for Vendetta, did not even want the movie to say based off his book it was so changed.

Ah! I found your blog post here by accident, but I'm crazy about Narnia too, and what you said in this post is like EXACTLY what I thought about the movie!! I appreciate it!
Anyway, I'm a complete stanger and you probably think this is weird already, but it was so refreshing seeing my thoughts on someone else's blog. Thanks!

And I was so sad they didn't keep most of Edmund's lines for him!
